Meet Our Speaker: Denise Eide

As the author of Uncovering the Logic of English and CEO and founder of Logic of English, Denise is passionate about translating the science of reading into practice. When her sons struggled to learn to read, she discovered that there are answers to the “whys” of English spelling. Upon seeing her sons go from nonreaders to reading chapter books within months, she realized that English spelling rules can help everyone! Armed with that knowledge, she has written more than eighteen books and created numerous teaching tools to make reading, spelling and writing accessible to all students.

Hotel Accommodations

The Logic of English Teacher Training will be located in downtown Rochester, MN.

• The training is located in the ballroom on the second floor of the Rochester Marriott Mayo Clinic Area Hotel.
• The Kahler Grand Hotel is across Peace Plaza from the Marriott, with entrances from 2nd Ave SW (closest to the hotel registration desk), Center Street and the Peace Plaza. There is indoor access to the training directly from the Kahler through the skyway on Level M.

Travel

Two airports service the Rochester area: MSP and RST.

• If flying into MSP, it is recommended to take a shuttle with either Groome Transportation or Rochester Shuttle Service. MSP is approximately a one-hour and 20-minute drive from Rochester.
• If flying into RST, it is recommended to take a shuttle with Rochester Shuttle Service, Uber, or Lyft. RST is eight miles from downtown Rochester.
